number 6 ‘ROCK AND ROLLIN’ Fats’ Domino (London Records) 1956
My Stepfather bought this home when I was a kid. In the sleeve notes of the back of this 12 inch vinyl cover the opening sentence reads ‘ Blues lies at the heart of Jazz’. At the time I did not understand what this meant because this was a guy who was also just rocking and rolling. My favourite track of all time is Domino’s ‘The Fat Man” recorded in 1949 but it is not on this Album.
