Kings of the twitching, psycho, trash blues with a soul power edge and funk dressing, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion are to finally return with a new album after eight years.
Meat And Bone comes out on September 17th and is a follow up to 2004’s Damage. We can’t believe it’s this long since one of our favourite bands was in action but it’s great to have them back and the 12 track album is keenly awaited. Whether it will come out as just the Blues Explosion or Jon Spencer’s Blues Explosion is, as yet, unclear.
The band’s ninth album will no doubt feature more SnapBack drenched, shaking rock action and was reorded the Key Club Recording Studio in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the album and mixed in New York.
