Louder Than War Clothing

Louder Than War has launched its own exclusive clothing collection using its iconic bomb logo as branding. The website and blog launched in 2009 by Manchester based musician, writer and journalist John Robb has developed a range of tops featuring original and controversial designs.

John

The project, which was started in early 2020 just before lockdown, has pulled in collaborators from across Manchester’s creative industries, including young designers from Manchester Municipal University (MMU). The brand has pitched the collection above the overcrowded gig top market and created a range of Direct to Garment (DTG) printed and embellished tops in an initial run of eight designs spread across T Shirts, Sweatshirts and Hoodies for Men & Women. All designs are unisex and come in sizes XS to 2XL.

The photoshoot – video below featured John alongside Martin Mathews, Shea Coates and Lauren Tate, lead singer with Hands Off Gretel aka Delilah Bon!

The complicated printing process involves double printing the tops to enhance the colours, overprinting with the design and then highlighting with feature vinyl, from gold swirls to reflective patches. The result is a unique collection of tops made in a specialist factory in Manchester

Speaking of the development during the photo shoot John Robb said:

“It’s a Manchester based company, the designers and the website. Not that we’re nationalistic about the town that we live in, but we want to work local. In a time when nothing’s going on, everything’s broken and everyone’s really stuck, it’s good to be positive and try and make things happen”.

Limited Editions

All garments are limited to 100 items only. The T Shirts are super high quality 180 gsm cotton, the hoodies and sweats, 320 gsm cotton. .

Branding
