The much rumnoured biopic of Joe Strummer has been announced.

‘The Right Profile’ will be directed Julie Delphy the French film maker. the film concentrates on the 1982 disappearance by Strummer on the eve of what was, remarkably in the light of the way things are told, not a sold out UK tour. In a stunt planned by the band’s maverick manager Bernie Rhodes to help boost flagging ticket sales. Strummer did a bunk and then disappeared properly before re-emerging in the Paris marathon in April 1982 after a training regime consisting of drinking 10 pints of beer the night before the race.
