9. Pink Flag – Wire

LTW : Wire stripped rock back to its basics and then reinvented it all again, they were also one of the greatest British pop bands ever- only thing is no-one in the mianstream has realised it yet!

Jim Bob : I saw Wire supporting XTC at the London Lyceum when this album was out, with no expectations or idea of who they were or what they sounded like. I’d never seen anything like it. I love the way there are about a hundred songs on the album but it doesn’t go on forever.
