Screen Shot 2017-07-12 at 11.27.19Jez Kerr was/is one of the key players in A Certain Ratio – the bass playing behemoth who was part of the unique band whose ‘doom funk’ was such a core part of the Factory records era of Manchester music.

In the past few years he has been working on several of his own projects which will culminate in this really special night at the Lowry – an audio visual work along with another artist, it will be in the studio theatre – an intimate venue which is a perfect backdrop to an ambitious evening for one night only Sunday 16th July

Fluid is an audio-visual performance by artists that explores ideas around what connects us together. Musicians Jez Kerr and Nicki Dupuy have created a sound sculpture to take you through different ideas about society and the way we live. Visual artist Tommy Scribble will create a visual frenzy to accompany the music.

Kerr is the lead singer and bass player in the Factory Records band, A Certain Ratio. Dupuy is a composer, sound sculptor and bass player, Scribble is a digital visual artist who uses animated motion graphics to explore how digital media and technology have become ingrained in our lives.

The three artists have been in residence at blueSCI Support which is an arts and wellbeing service based in Trafford Manchester. Over the three artists have been working with the local community to develop this work.
