This has to be the best tour of December. Clash legend Mick Jones with special guests playing a set of Clash songs (there’s some great surprises in there) for a vital cause- getting justice for the 96 Liverpool fans who died at Hillsborough. This is punk rock, the spirit of the Clash plays music for a reason…

Just Announced James Dean Bradfield is confirmed as very special guest for Cardiff

After a special one off show at Liverpool’s Olympia in aid of the Hillsborough Justice Campaign earlier this year, The Clash and Big Audio Dynamite’s Mick Jones, Pete Wylie, The Farm and special guests will tour Justice Tonight around the country this December with compere and Louder Than War boss John Robb, to raise awareness of the Hillsborough Justice Campaign. The London Scala show sold out within an hour of going onsale and all others selling fast.

Every gig should have a reason and these shows are about getting Justice for the families, survivors and supporters of the 96 people who died at Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough football ground on 15th April 1989.

For Mick Jones this will be the first time he has toured performing Clash songs since 1982 and says:

“I’m totally honoured to be part of something so meaningful and I hope that we can do some good”

Joining Mick are Pete Wylie who’s powerful, emotional and political songs are just what are needed for these shows and ”ËœAll Together Now’ legends The Farm. Just announced this afternoon, James Dean Bradfield will appear as very special guest for Cardiff Justice Tonight. Members of Primal Scream will be joining the line up at London, James Allan from Glasvegas at Glasgow, Richard Hawley will DJ in Sheffield and Jon McClure from Reverend and The Makers will also appear in Sheffield.

The Hillsborough Justice Campaign continues to fight for justice for the victims of the disaster and for the truth to be established. Everyone volunteers their time and skills for free. As well as challenging the official version of events, the group also helps survivors of the disaster, many of whom have suffered long term psychological damage.

The HJC has operated in the face of great adversity for years and has had to utilise new technology to promote the campaign in the face of a hostile media. It is the view of the HJC that the Hillsborough Disaster and subsequent cover up is a miscarriage of justice. Human and civil rights were denied in the aftermath of the disaster. It is for this reason that the HJC is pleased to support the forthcoming concerts which aim to promote the broader issue of justice in a society where rights are increasingly being eroded.

Tom Watson MP, a supporter of the Hillsborough Justice Campaign will also be appearing on the tour on selected dates and there will be DJ Sets by Don Letts & Terry Farley at London Scala. More special guests will be announced soon.
