Islet website (worth a visit just for the shapeshifting picture on its main page!)

Islet come from Cardiff and sound like nothing else. I was tipped off about them by the NME’s Laura Snapes at the Norwich Sound and Vision music conference.

They have some tribal drums and yelping vocals, a sort of a touch of English Settlement period XTC about them , a whiff of angular underground, a 21st century wilfully awkward underground approach.

They have been around a couple of years just below the radar.

They have none of that myspace stuff, just a few blogs about them
