Gruff Rhys, frontman of Super Furry Animals, and Allo Darlin’ have been announced as headliners for this year’s Indietracks Festival in Derbyshire.
This year Gruff is releasing American Interior, an album, book, film and app, exploring the life of John Evans, who left Wales for north America in 1792 in search of a lost tribe of Welsh-speaking Native Americans.
While we named Allo Darlin’s last Indietracks’ performance in 2012 as one of our highlights, as they held the main stage crowd spellbound.
Indietracks is set to take place at the Midland Railway Centre on 25-27 July 2014.
Other acts announced to play the on and among the steam trains include Dean Wareham, Spearmint, Rocketship, Withered Hand, The Popguns, Sweet Baboo, The Spook School, The Wellgreen, Let’s Wrestle, Night Flowers, ONSIND, The Very Most, The Blue Minkies, The Yawns, Thee AHs, Franny and Zooey and Lost Tapes.
