Celebreating Free Events For All

From Wednesday 6th – Sunday 10th April, Eventbrite is hosting a brand new exhibition to celebrate free public events in London and across the UK.

“Free: Celebrating Free Events For All”, is a multimedia exhibition including over 400 pieces of rarely seen photography, audio, video and posters that commemorate the history of free events: from Carnival to Castlemorton, Pride, The Rolling Stones’ early gigs, as well as UK festivals and raves from the ’70s to the ’90s and other iconic moments in national cultural life.

Content has been contributed by a fantastic selection of partners, including Notting Hill Carnival; the Mayor of London; Pride in London; Red Bull; BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend; Brownswood; Crystal Palace Overground; Hackney Wicked; Lambeth Country Show; The Big Lunch; Greenwich and Docklands International Festival and Record Store Day.

Held over 4 floors, the exhibition is split as follows:

Reception Area: The First Free Festivals
Floor 1: Rave
Floor2: City Spectacle
Floor3: Street Party

Opening hours: Wednesday 6th – Sunday 10th April, from 11:00 – 18.00.
