Focus Wales Announce Conference And Band Line Up – Looks Very Good

FOCUS Wales, now in its fourth year, presents an expanded conference programme for 2014.

The national showcase for music from Wales will offer a two day programme of keynotes and discussions at Glyndwr University, Wrexham, North Wales on the 24th & 25th April.

Confirmed speakers to date include Creation Records and Death Disco founder ALAN McGEE, who will be discussing his career and new book in the first of the festival’s keynotes.

Radio 1s HUW STEPHENS, journalist and broadcaster JOHN ROBB and SPOTIFY UK’s Artist Ambassador BRYAN JOHNSON feature in the panel discussions alongside representatives from Arts Council, PRS For Music, PRS For Music Foundation and Wales Arts International.

Topics dealt with over the two day conference will cover, access to mainstream media, the current state of live music today in Wales and the UK, innovations in digital platforms for artists and funding sources for new projects.

The conference will be rounded off by a keynote session with WILL SERGEANT of ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN.

Delegate tickets are on sale now at a reduced price until 3rd February and grant admission to all panel sessions, keynotes, workshops, delegate only shows & mixers and all four days of music and comedy.
