First Song From Frank Turner's New Hardcore Band Hits The Net.

Who remembers the piece we ran almost exactly a year ago titled “Frank Turner to form hardcore band again?” It was based on an inteview with NME where Frank said:

“I have a concrete plan when I get some time off next year to do a hardcore band again, I’m talking to some people about it, it’s coming together. It’ll be a side project, because I’m doing what I want to do now, but I grew up playing heavy music and I want to play it again. Expect that some time next year.”

Well, it’s been almost exactly a year since he made that interview & we’re pleased to announce that the “some time next year” he mentioned in the interview has become “precisely today” as the first taster by Mongol Horde has arrived.

As promised it really is a long way from Franks “love of all things folk / acoustic / country” & is, in fact, a pretty solid, pretty good, pretty proper hard to the core slab of music, all 2 mins 40 secs of it.

As most of you’ll probably know, before Frank turned to the acoustic side of things he was in a hardcore band, Million Dead, so it’s no surprise that he’s pretty much nailed what he was hoping to achieve with this, his first such release for 4 / 5 years.

Way to go Frank.
