Field Day Festival 2017

thumbnail_field day logo 2017Field Day Festival 2017 is nearly here – Come and join us.

Big stages, great bands, great weather (well . . . . ) and not too far away from of our back gardens (OK then, for some of us  it’s local).

Field day 2017, situated in East London’s Victoria Park and only a stones throw from where one or two of us live is fast approaching. For some of us music loving people this will kick start the beginning of summer. Another summer that we hope will bring joy and sunshine for those of us that enjoy a pint in a dry hot field sound-tracked by the diverse and the glorious. This year (the eleventh) will introduce the new indoor stage arena named The Barn that will be graced with no other than The Aphex Twin. thumbnail_field day 2017aa

Slowdive will also be making an appearance for anyone who wants some dreamy guitar orientated tunes or if you’re after some decent Hip Hop then look no further than Run The Jewels fresh from their recent furious headline show at The Roundhouse (Camden) earlier this year.

Flying Lotus – AKA LA producer Steven Ellison will be turning up the bass and filling the park with his electronic wizardry whilst The Oh Sees, one of the most thrilling bands some of us really cannot wait to see again will be closing The Shacklewell Arms stage.

There’s also Arab Strap, Death Grips, Silver Apples and a long long list of bands that we promise will keep everyone entertained from lunch time until we drop.

Hope we’ll see you there x

Keith Goldhanger -- Spent the '90s as a frontman with London noise merchants HEADBUTT - spent the '80s in 'Peel favourites' BASTARD KESTREL. Spent a few years mashing up tunes and remixing bands as HIDEOUS WHEEL INVENTION. Is often out and about getting in the way of things and bumping his head on low ceilings - Will give your band the time of day but will dislike any band that balances full pints of alcohol on the top of guitar amps (Not keen on lead singers that wear hats either).
