New album Aye! is due at the end of May but today you can hear lead single Pando from Derbyshire’s Grawl!x.

A single full of sun-dappled layers Pando yearns for someone missing, but is heavy on the pop hook.

Taken from forthcoming long player Aye! the lead single showcases just one of the distinct styles James Machin conveys through his multi-instrumentation. The album is the next in a series dealing with the theme of grief with Aye! being about acceptance, life going on.

Mixing acoustic and electronic elements the music Grawl!x is making is both intimate and spacious, isolated and an act of solidarity in theme.

If Pando is anything to go by we should be very excited for Aye!

Aye! is due on 28 May. A full band tour will follow in June – dates to be announced.

You can find Grawl!x on Facebook and Twitter.
