Exclusive! Apocalyptica release video for new Wagner project

With its grandeur and swirling dark madness it’s no wonder that classical tempts many metal bands- it’s not always a comfortable collusion but Finnish group Apocalyptica have managed to merge the forms with ‘Wagner Reloaded’ on November 18th and we unveil the video for ‘Ludwig Wonderland’.

I guess Wagner with all his darkness and love of volume was the perfect choice and the Scandanavian understanding of getting to core of European music has been successfully negotiated here.

In celebration of Richard Wagner’s 200th birthday on July 5 and 6, the sold-out Arena Leipzig saw standing ovations for Finnish cello virtuosos Apocalyptica, who for years have been building bridges between rock and classical music.

Tickets for the final live encore of ‘Wagner Reloaded’ on September 27, 2013 are already available.

Apocalyptica have now confirmed that 13 more tracks will be released on November 18, 2013 as an official live recording entitled ‘Wagner Reloaded’ and featuring the MDR Symphony Orchestra on CD and vinyl.

As of now, fans can exclusively pre-order the autographed album or an edition with individual dedication together with tickets for the encore show on pledgemusic.com and all other major retailers
