The Elwins

The Elwins

Canadian indie-poppers The Elwins announce new album, Play For Keeps, as well as a handful of UK/EU tour dates.

The Elwins are an infectious indie pop outfit from Ontario, Canada whose new single Play For Keeps blends an electronic ’80s vibe together with ’60s retro technique, resulting in a bouncy and fun record that’s difficult not to dance to.

If previous album ‘I Thank You’ got The Elwins’ metaphorical foot in the door, then their latest long-player ‘Play For Keeps’ is the boys blasting it wide open and then having a party. Songs about sex, heartbreak and fun make up the album’s subject matter; the 12 track album upholding buckets of energy, supported by the ample use of synths boosting each song with brighter moods and danceability.

One could say ‘feeling good’ is at the very core of what The Elwins are all about, and nowhere is that more apparent than a live show, where the electric exchange of energy blurs the line between band and audience – sometimes sweaty, usually lively, always fun. With a packed 2016 touring schedule set to take them across the UK and Europe in February which includes cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Prague, London, Manchester and Cardiff they encourage their fans to come and join the party at the following dates:

17 February 2016 Wetzlar (Franzis)
18 February 2016 Nürnberg (Club Stereo)
19 February 2016 Schorndorf (Manufaktur)
20 February 2016 Saarbrücken (Sparte 4)
21 February 2016 Les Mesnuls (La Beteau Show)
22 February 2016 London (Old Blue Last)
23 February 2016 Cardiff (Clwb lfor Bach)
