The legendary Scottish musician is to play a one-off date at London’s Roundhouse on the 29th of January. The former frontman of seminal Postcard band Orange Juice saw his tenacity rewarded with a worldwide hit with “A Girl Like You” in 1995, the creative freedom that the royalties brought to him allowed him to set-up his own studio and label in London and record at his own pace. Unfortunately this was curtailed by a double brain haemorrhage that left him paralysed on his right hand side and unable to speak except for a few words in 2005. The road to recovery was a long one but Edwyn finally completed “Home Again” the album he had been recording prior to his stroke. He started touring again with a band (with his long time friend Roddy Frame from Aztec Camera was often part of). He has since then released two other solo albums “Losing Sleep” in 2010 and “Understated” in 2013. A documentary on his recovery entitled “The Possibilities Are Endless” was released in cinemas in 2014.

Tickets can be purchased directly from The Roundhouse’s website.
