Download sign five-year Donington deal

Download organiser Live Nation has signed a five-year deal for the festival with the owners of Donington Park.

The local press has reported a deal has been signed for the metal festival to stay at the Leicestershire race track for the next five years.

The commitment means organisers can spend money on infrastructure to try and stop a repeat of this year’s water-logged site and traffic chaos.

Download will celebrate its 15th birthday in 2017 and early bird tickets for next year’s event go on sale this Friday (15 June).
