Download 2022 – festival preview

Download Festival
10th – 12th June 2022
Donnington Park

Download returns to full glory this year and is all set to play host to the ultimate who’s-who of heavy metal, hard rock, and alternative music!

The first full Download since 2019, the UK’s premier rock festival will take place from 10th – 12th June at the well-established spiritual home of rock, Donnington Park, just next to East Midlands Airport.

Perhaps the most eagerly anticipated in history, Download 2022 will feature four separate stages, ensuring the heavy vibes will be thick in abundance all weekend.

With an absolutely killer line-up across three days, on Friday 10th June the main stage features Black Veil Brides, Skindred, A Day To Remember, and more, while headliners Kiss will be sure to wow festival-goers with their explosive stage show to close the day. Frank Carter will be headlining the Second Stage, and Sleep Token will be ones-to-watch over at the Avalanche Stage.

On Saturday 11th June the line-up includes heavyweights Deftones, Megadeath, Mastodon, Funeral For A Friend, with the ultimate show-stoppers Iron Maiden headlining, who themselves are currently celebrating the 40th anniversary year of their best-selling album, Number Of The Beast.

On Sunday 12th June Korn, Rise Against, Volbeat, and Steel Panther are just a few of the huge names appearing throughout the day, with Biffy Clyo bringing the festival to a close.

This year festival-goers are also being promised lots of extra features, attractions and improvements after the long lay-off since 2019. These include more hard-standing, especially for the Village area, better and more accessible car parks and close camping sites to the main arena.

Is there really anywhere else to be between 10th – 12 June?!?
