Dirt Box Disco announce new album title…

Punk mutations Dirt Box Disco have just confirmed the title of their forthcoming fourth album; ‘Only In It For The Money’ will be released via STP Records on the 19th April 2015, and will be marked by three release party gigs;

17th April – The Asylum, Birmingham
18th April – The Zombie Hut, Corby
19th April – The Star & Garter, Manchester

Tickets for all events are on sale now.

‘Only In It For The Money’ will be the bands fourth album in as many years, not to mention the side projects Spunk Volcano & The Eruptions and Kid Clumsy. The band have already been confirmed for appearances at major UK festivals including The Rebellion Festival, the 3 Chords Festival, Scotland Calling and the Nice & Sleazy Festival as well as gigs right through to the end of the year.

Phil Newall is 47, from The Wirral - he earns his living not writing about music nor playing music...though sorely wishes he could. He was fortunate enough to see many of the first generation punk bands when they played the U18's matinee shows at Eric's, Liverpool. As an attendee at Eric's he was exposed to punk rock, dub reggae, art rock, and all manner of weirdness; as a customer at Probe Records he was variously served and scowled at by Pete Wylie and Pete Burns - he has written for Record Collector, Whisperin & Hollerin, and Spiral Scratch and wanted to write a book detailing the Liverpool punk scene; however with 'Head-On' Julian Cope beat him to it...and frankly did a much better job.
