Dexys have announced two further U.K. dates in May at Treorchy, Wales and Whitley Bay. They will play the new album in its entirety, in sequence, followed by a few Dexys favourites.
Tickets for both shows go on sale at 9am on Thursday 8th March.
They release their fourth album, One Day I’m Going To Soar, on Monday June 4th 2012 through BMG Rights Management. This will be their first album in 26 years, following the release of Don’t Stand Me Down in 1985.
The album features previous members Kevin Rowland, Mick Talbot on keyboards , Pete Williams on bass and Jim Paterson (who co-wrote some of the tracks) on trombone and will be released under the Dexys name.
It also features Neil Hubbard and Tim Cansfield on guitars, Madeleine Hyland on vocals, Lucy Morgan on viola and Ben Trigg leading the string section.

8th London Shepherd’s Bush Empire

These are the only UK headline shows the band will be confirming at this time. There are plans for more later in the year, but no more will be added to this current run in May.
