Dead Can Dance announce music video competition for new single ‘Children Of The Sun’

Dead Can Dance want you to make the music video for their forthcoming single ‘Children Of The Sun’ the track being lifted from ‘Anastasis‘ their first studio album in 16 years.

The album was released last August on DCD Records via [PIAS] Recordings the album preceded a sell out American and European tour which saw the band play a rare UK show at the Royal Albert Hall.

They have left the brief wide open; and invited people to be creative in their interpretation.

Deadline for submissions are 4 March 2013, 23:59 GMT time. The winner will receive £3,000 and have their video used as the music video for ‘Children of the Sun’.

The winner and finalists will be chosen by Dead Can Dance and Genero.

Outstanding videos will also be nominated for the 2013 Genero Awards.

Dead Can Dance will be returning to the UK in July 2013 as part of the current ‘Anastasis’ World Tour. In addition to other European shows recently announced, the band will be playing at The Roundhouse in London on the 2nd July.
