We are sorry to hear of the death of the legendary Cynthia Plastercaster at the age of 75 – the legendary Chicago based self confessed ‘groupie’ who made Plastercasts of rock star genitalia which was perhaps the ultimate statement of the something about the sixties.
I interviewed her once and the way she explained it all seems oddly quite innocent . The self confessed ‘shy girl’ had got the idea from her art teacher who gave the class an assignment to “plaster cast something solid that could retain its shape”, she hit upon the idea of casting the temporarily-solid male genitalia, which would then soften and exit the mold.
