This may prove controversial or it could be brilliant.
The battle for the Nirvana legacy continues with a new film planned about the singer.
Courtney Love is working on Kurt Cobain documentary with Rolling Stones collaborator Brett Morgen who directed The Rolling Stones’ documentary Crossfire Hurricane. The film is due out in 2014. What shape it will take is anyone’s goes but there are a few clues out there.
Morgen said in a recent interview in the NY Post that the film has been in the pipeline for along time, with the idea first mooted in 2007.
‘Courtney is the one that brought me into this. We’ve been trying to find the right time to put this film together and the time is now⦠Kurt was not only an amazing songwriter and musician, he was an incredible artist and filmmaker. So we are going to do the movie sort of like a third-person autobiography like if Kurt was around and making a film about his life.’
At least it won’t be the rumoured Broadway musical of the singer’s life that was talked about last year but recently denied by Courtney Love.
