B-r7DdYXEAAtJYaIt’s just 2 weeks until one of the UK’s biggest inner city festivals opens its gates, Sheffield’s Tramlines, so time for a quick preview.

An expected 100,00 people are due to descend on Sheffield for an outstanding roster of gigs which will be performed right across the city’s venues over the weekend (24th-26th July), including The Leadmill, The 02 and the City Hall amongst other places.

Now in its seventh year, Tramlines has brought together one of the stand out line ups of the Summer, including main stage head-liners such as The Charlatans, Basement Jaxx, and Wu-Tang Clan, as well as support from the likes of Billy Bragg, Buzzcocks, Martha Reeves, Neneh Cherry, Slaves, Mike Skinner and The Sugarhill Gang. The event also features the legendary Wu Tang Clan’s only UK appearance this summer.

Away from the main stage you’ll also find a line up of stand out shows going down all across the city’s many venues. Bands such as Fat White Family will play the legendary Leadmill on the Saturday, while on the Sunday night at the Queens Social Club you will be able to find Dutch Uncles. Roni Size will also be playing his celebrated 18yr old set at Sheffield’s 02 Academy … and the list, which you can check out yourself at the Tramlines website or below, goes on.
For all Tramlines news such as the bands, venues, time schedules, travel and of course tickets, go here: tramlines.org.uk.
Weekend tickets are still available but they’re likely to sell out in advance of the event so you’re advised to act quickly! They can be purchased from the Tramlines website for only £30 + bf. There are also a limited number of day tickets available (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), priced at £23 + bf.
