Louder Than War Bomb Rating 4.5

Louder Than War favourites Cold Water Swimmers continue their astonishing run with new single & video Robots which came out yesterday. Nigel gives it a spin for Louder Than War.

If you thought the current explosion in music around Manchester was all about the kids then think again. Seasoned performers Cold Water Swimmers are smashing it with a series of stunning releases which just get better and better. Robots is the latest – a storming glam stomping punk monster, all gnarly basslines and metronomic beats. Frontman Chris Bridgett is joined upfront this time with Carrie Lawson, perfectly bouncing and enriching the vocals on the track.

Robots is a perfect slice of modern punk; stealing from the past and looking to the future!

There’s a cracking video to go with it too (Check out that Flying V!)

Chris Bridgett:

“ROBOTS is a story of the rise of the robots humans becoming obsolete and all of humanity walking blindly into a future (no future) where technology controls us all, wrapped up in the sort of punk rock tune my 12-year-old self would have jumped around the bedroom too!”

The track is available now!
