These are amazing photos that emerged today on facebook – we don’t know who took the pictures or what was going on and would love to find out -= please contact us!

In the photos we can see Howard Devoto, Pete Shelley, Mark Smith, Jimmy Pursey, Pauline Murray, Rob Blamire and Jordan caught at the point when punk was going into post-punk…a moment in time when an axis shifted…but where/when and why is up for grabs…and what did Mark Smith say…

  1. The building in the background is 36 Golden Square, which was the London HQ of Granada.

    The hut in the last two photos is still there.

    Yeah I’ve seen these on twitter before. It’s not “the point when punk was going into post-punk” because come on, Smith, Devoto et all look about 30 years old and there’s definitely some ’80s haircuts in there….
