She has never pulled her punches and she has got the stories from her early days on the Akron photo punk scene to the actual punk scene proper where she gave Sid Vicious his famous chain and worked in the sex shop- there will be lots of good stuff in there, that’s for sure.
The book doesn’t yet have a title, but will focus on her childhood, the 1970s punk scene and the big time with the Pretenders. the book will be out September 8 through Penguin Random House.
The publisher describes the book as “incredibly frank and “strikingly intimate.”
