We’ve all had at least one festival experience we’ll forever think of as priceless. When the atmosphere is perfect, the sun is shining, the music is just right and you’ve got all your crew around you, someone could offer you a million dollars to be anywhere else and you’d turn them down with enthusiasm.
But when it comes to forking out the equivalent of $1million for your ticket in the first place, well that’s a whole different thing.
Secret Solstice Festival in Reykjavík, Iceland, are offering ‘the world’s most expensive festival ticket’, with a package costing $1million. For that, you get VIP access to the festival, luxury accommodation to stay in, a private jet to take you there, a squad of primpers and preeners to make you look good every day, your own private lounge, and a whole load of extras on top.
While that might not sound like something you’d ever want (and while it’s yet to be seen whether anyone will actually buy the $1million ticket), it’s certainly put the spotlight on Secret Solstice Festival and got a lot of people talking – smart.
The chatter is well deserved, too, because on top of the 96 hours of solid daylight you can experience in Iceland in June, there’s also an incredible line-up featuring Stormzy, Slayer, Bonnie Tyler, Death From Above, Dream Wife and more.
On top of all that, you can go inside a 5200-year-old lava tunnel, and party inside a glacier.
The deal is, obviously, that you don’t need to be a millionaire to go to Secret Solstice. Tickets actually start at a much more reasonable £125, with travel and accommodation packages available on top.
