number 6 Suede ‘Animal Nitrate’

Suede were the smudged lipstick glam end of Britpop. Their mysterious snake hipped songs had a whiff of mystery to them but an art school Englishness that made them perfect for the new scene. Fronted by the charismatic Brett Anderson they could do no wrong for the nineties and tied up all the loose ends from the Smiths ambiguity to the pervier end of early Adam And the Ants and Trex’s classic seven inch missives.
