We here at LTW like those unusual items that bands sell; we brought you news about Elbow launching their own beer; well now we are please to announce that Sheffield based Bring Me The Horizon have launched their own brand of barbecue sauce.

Frontman Oli Sykes, posted news of the sauce on his blog page Theadventuresofoliversykes.com along with a picture.

Bring Me The Horizon launch own brand BBQ sauce

According to Sykes, the sauce, which is appropriately called ‘Bring Me The BBQ’, will be sold along with the band’s other merchandise and in selected food retailers. Sykes added, and clearly with an eye for a catchy strap line “Our BBQ sauce has finally arrived. It tastes like Jesus’ cum. So fucking good. Will be available on our merch and in all good food stores very soon.”

The sauce will also be available to purchase from the band’s official website soon.

Back on more traditional ground Bring Me The Horizon have been confirmed as the main support band on Machine Head’s UK arena tour later this year. Following the tour the band will then begin work on the follow-up to their third album ‘There Is A Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret’ and have said they hope to be in a position to record by summer 2012.

Phil Newall is 47, from The Wirral - he earns his living not writing about music nor playing music...though sorely wishes he could. He was fortunate enough to see many of the first generation punk bands when they played the U18's matinee shows at Eric's, Liverpool. As an attendee at Eric's he was exposed to punk rock, dub reggae, art rock, and all manner of weirdness; as a customer at Probe Records he was variously served and scowled at by Pete Wylie and Pete Burns - he has written for Record Collector, Whisperin & Hollerin, and Spiral Scratch and wanted to write a book detailing the Liverpool punk scene; however with 'Head-On' Julian Cope beat him to it...and frankly did a much better job.
