Blur will headline a free gig at London’s 100 Club on 2 August as part of the warm up for their Olympic’s Closing Ceremony performance at Hyde Park later that month.

The band had been billed as ‘special guests’ on the line-up for Converse’s Represent show at the intimate venue. Other band’s playing that night include The Bots, Savages and Swiss Lips.

To get tickets you need to apply via the Converse website from 9am on Wednesday 1 August and those who are successful will be notified by noon on the day of the gig.

The Represent series of free gigs will also see UK Subs, Paul Weller, Janice Graham Band and Pulled Apart by Horses play between 30 July and 10 August.

Blur will also be playing at Maida Vale at the end of July before doing a series of small warm-up gigs before playing  Hyde Park with New Order and The Specials on the 12 August.
