Blogger Launches CD For Mental Illness Charity

Louder Than War brings you news about a new charity CD featuring many well-known and less well know stars of the music world. All proceeds from the sale of the CD will go to a mental illness charity, The Fine Line Project.

Social media can be a tremendous thing.

When Louder Than War favourites Feral Five sent me a band badge and asked if I had any for my own blog, I thought it was a great idea and duly had some made. A few singers and bands later, a fellow Tweeter and Blogger Mike Lindley (aka Ralphs Life) contacted me for advice on how to get his own done.

When the badges were delivered, the mind of Mike started working overtime as he realised the badge would make good CD artwork.

Mike has previously blogged about The Fine Line Project who work hard to promote mental health awareness and decided he’d like to put together a double CD of 40 unsigned bands with the proceeds going to Rethink Mental Illness in the UK.

In a matter of days, all forty tracks had been agreed with some big names included – Tom Robinson and Helen McCookerybook amongst the line up which can be seen here.

Funds for the project which will include a live launch party will be raised by the Crowdfunder Website here and we urge everyone to get involved with this superb idea here.
