Bill Doss of Olivia Tremor Control has died at the age of 43.

The sad news of the death of Bill Doss of Olivia Tremor Control at only 43 has rocked the underground music world.

A prolific figure Doss was also the co founder of the Elephant 6 collective and had played with played with the Sunshine Fix and Apples in Stereo.

There is no explanation for his death yet with his shocked band mates posting the news on their website

“We are devastated by the loss of our brother Bill Doss”¦ We are at a loss for words.”

The band were formed in Athens in the USA in 1994 till 2000 releasing two albums – ‘Music from the Unrealized Film Script: Dusk at Cubist Castle’ in 1996 and ‘Black Foliage: Animation Music Volume One’ in 1999. They reformed in 2005 to play events for All Tomorrow’s Parties.
