Video thumbnail for youtube video watch this! in depth interview with Bez about his manifesto and the Reality party - Louder Than WarPerhaps one of the most curious things about the Happy Mondays is the way they have been so easily embraced by the mainstream. The band came out of late Manchester as the most notorious group of their generation with a fairly wild lifestyle and yet a once the group escaped the clutches of the underground they were Top Of The Pops regulars and dceades laster Bez is in talks to appear on one of the BBC’s most family shows.

And this a good thing.

Of course it’s perfect, and there was always an element of great music hall about the band and the rumour that Bez will be in the next series of the dancing show is a great one and the idea of him freaky dancing across the Blackpool ballrooms with a stern looking partner perfectly natural and will make the staid show wildly entertaining.
