Nashville garage rockettes The Black Belles are about to invade Britain, Ireland and France with a May tour and a stonking new single.
Belles of Britain (and Ireland and France…)
‘Wishing Well’, one of the many highlights of their self-titled debut album, is a 3-minute exuberant garage rock freefall, wildly spiralling around a snarling guitar riff that you would simply swap your soul for. Have a look!

It came out on Jack White’s Third Man Records yesterday (Monday, April 30) to coincide with The Belles’ first-ever jaunt over the Atlantic. Their tour takes in 16 dates, including supports with The Horrors, The Cribs and Twin Atlantic at the Jack Daniel’s JD Roots shows.

The Black Belles coalesced under a shroud of mystery and internet chitter-chatter in 2010. Bonding over a mutual love of 60’s garage rock and soul, they caught the attention of ex”“White Stripes frontman and Third Man Records label head Jack White. The resulting self-titled debut album, produced by Jack and recorded in the goldmine of vintage audio equipment that is the Third Man studio, is a bewitching blend of atmospheric post-punk and macabre rock ”Ëœn roll theatre.

The Black Belles are bassist Ruby Rogers, drummer Shelby Lynne, Nashville native Tina NoGood, and guitarist/vocalist/organ player Olivia Jean.
