Following on from their recent USA tour announcement, Beak> have now confirmed the details of their forthcoming third album and shared a new single ‘Brean Down’.
LTW favorites Beak> have just announced the details of their eagerly anticipated third album. Entitled >>>, the trio (Billy Fuller, Geoff Barrow, Will Young) wrote the album over the last year and, for the most part, recorded live in their favoured Invada studios.
Following on from their recent track/video collaboration “Alle Sauvage” Beak> have now also released a new single ‘Brean Down’.
‘Brean Down’ is a far more fleshed-out sound for the band and is a clear sign that Beak> are traveling further into the universe that they have built for themselves. Invada Records manager Redg Weeks says:
“>>> definitely sounds like a step forward. The production and feel of the first two albums was like listening through frosted glass; a band playing behind a curtain. Now we are hearing Beak> in sharp focus, but without forfeiting what the band see as its ‘wrongness’. This could be the result of having played bigger stages and festivals – something that was never part of the plan – or perhaps it is just a reaction to the infinite cut & paste fuzz pedal kraut bands on the planet.”
The band have also announced a handful of live shows and festival dates across the UK before heading out to the US for two weeks in October, see full list of dates below.
