Avant Sludge Metallers The Body Set Up Crowd Funding Campaign – For New Tour Van!

Providence, Rhode Island, avant sludge metallers (and Haxan Cloak collaborators) are in the market for a new tour van. And they think they know how to get one, via an Indiegogo campaign.

IndieGoGo campaigns are usually set up by bands to fund albums. Not The Body though They want a new touring van. As usual there are plenty of good things available in return for some of your hard earned such as fatalistic beer koozies, CDs of unreleased material, and pizza. For the right amount, they will even play in your town! No shit!

The full spiel:

If you follow us, you know we tour a ton but we’ve never owned a van that wasn’t at least 12 years old and had over 200,000 miles upon us buying it from some freak on Craigslist. Honestly, we feel weird about crowd funding so we tried to offer stuff that we would be selling anyways in some other format. We would buy it with our own money but we’re borderline animals with no careers because we’ve thrown our lives in the toilet to tour 6 months a year and surprisingly, yelling to people doesn’t pay like it did in the 80’s.

Guy is a former full time member of the Louder Than War editorial team, who's since moved on to pastures new. Music's been a large part of his life since he first stumbled across Peel on his tranny as a fifteen year old. His whole approach to music was learnt from Peel in fact, which includes having as inclusive a taste in music as possible. Guy devotes most of his time looking for new music & although he's been known to say "the only good music is new music" he pretty much accepts this is bollocks. Favourite band The Minutemen.
