Trashmouth Records Presents:
2015 The Glory & The Pain
Following the success of last year’s compilation ‘Thinking of Moving to Hastings’ and this year’s record store day EP, Trashmouth Records have now released another taster, Trashmouth Records Presents: 2015 The Glory & The Pain, to showcase some of the bands on their label. Featuring some of their established acts such as The Fat White Family, Taman Shud, Meatraffle, Lewis Idle, Pit Ponies and Bat Bike, as well as newcomers visual artist & Lee Scratch Perry collaborator Peter Harris, & Serbian choral psych group The Cyclist Conspiracy, the album is an excellent introduction to the SE London scene which is garnering so much attention at the moment. With the bombastic magnificence of ‘I Tego Arcana’ by Taman Shud, the sinister intentions of ‘Wickerman’ by Meatraffle and the melodrama and sheer exuberance of ‘Chasing Skirt’ by Pit Ponies, as well as tracks from No Cars and live material from Pit Ponies and Taman Shud, the album is sure to have something for everyone. Warmduscher also feature with two outstanding tracks, including the spaced-out cool of ‘Gold Teeth’. Bat Bike have an album release early in 2016, so this is the place to go to check out some of their tracks. All in all, a lot of amazing music to set the groove for the holidays.
