7. Husker Du – Zen Arcade

I got this at a time when i needed to hear fearsome music that wasn’t just boneheaded rage. An album to completely lose yourself in, a punk headphone album. After sitting through the whole album the world takes on a different colour and taste. The first time i heard it i thought it sounded like The Byrds with a fuzzbox.  I love not only the tunes but all the little interludes and backwards masking that goes on. The whole thing just shimmers from start to finish.
