Afghan Sand Gang: Fast Talk – new single.

Afghan Sand Gang return with a refreshing welcome, stepping up their game with a more pop direction following on from the electronica / shoegaze sound of tracks like Glistener from their debut EP and it’s catchy as fuck…

The Mossley quartet are back. Not quite with a bang though as this is a slick number that glides smoothly under an electro undertone which brings OMD to mind but in ASG’s dreamy world of shoegaze synth. It’s an instant hit to the senses and probably their most accessible moment to date.

I’ve caught these live twice now, once supporting The Blinders and on homegrown Manc music TV channel MMTV and they are captivating. Fast Talk is a big step up for the lads as it show ambition, stepping into the world of electronica with loads of class and shimmering production, and stark lyrics reflecting on issues affecting us all in these crazy shitty political times. A refreshing change to say the least.
