Earlier this week Alan McGee posed the question on Twitter as to whether he should open Creation Records again.

He’s since taken a step away from the social network (following a frankly bizarre spat with a fake Phil Collins account) saying he’d be considering it alongside his other projects and would return with an answer.

Rumours have increased in the lasthour though as Gun Club Cemetery (who we featured as a New Band of the Day yesterday, interviewing Alex Lowe) tweeting they have signed to Creation.

It’s rumour at the moment with the only signs the legendary label, once home to Oasis, Super Furry Animals and others, is back in business coming from the band and their manager.

More news as we get it but what you you think? does music need the return of Creation and an impresario such as McGee? we think it does!
