2 of Manchester key music venues : Gorilla and the Deaf Institute to closeYet more victims of the pandemic – two of Manchester favourite venues, Gorilla and the Deaf Institute are to close. Increasingly with the economy creaking and the long term closure of music venues due to the virus there are going to be venues shutting. The two venues were really well run and key in breaking new and bigger bands in the city and have been firm favourites for several years now. Without proper government support the whole live circuit is looking in danger of collapsing.

  1. Two key venues have also closed in Hull today, the Welly and The Polar Bear. Particularly in a city with fewer venues these are very sad days all round. I just hope we all come out and make the effort to support the ones that hopefully make it through as soon as possible.
