Win tickets to see Dreadzone, Ferocious Dog, Goldblade, 3 Daft Monkeys and more…
There are 100’s of gigs every week, bands playing in arena’s, venues, and the back room of their local pub – how many times when you go to the gig do wish the promoter had thought about the entire line-up and not just the headline band? All to frequently you witness support bands playing to an audience busy chatting amongst themselves whilst they await the arrival of the main act…
Well; there is a gig coming up that looks to be the opposite of these non-events; the promoter has spent time gathering together a raft of bands from across a selection of genres who despite their sonic variants work remarkably well together.
Dreadzone are now in their 21st year, having released ‘Escapades’ their seventh studio last year they hit the road leaving sweat sodden crowds bouncing for days after, Goldblade released the highly acclaimed ‘The Terror Of Modern Life’ album, MOJO declared it to be a “thrilling state of-a-broken-nation address” whilst Ferocious Dog took their dangerously infectious mix of Celtic folk and punk to festivals including Bearded Theory and Farmer Phil’s – for 2014 the Dog have already been confirmed for Boomtown, Bearded Theory, and Rock, Stock & Barrel; Super Fast Girlie Show seem to have exploded onto the national scene; the twin bass assault being defined as “If you like it loud, heavy and inherently disgusting, then this is the band for you.”, then 3 Daft Monkeys offer up their world music vibe, which on the late 2013 album ‘Of Stones & Bones’ saw them draw the listener into the bizarre and mysterious world of Cornish tales and superstitions, both ancient and modern.
For the latest Louder Than War competition we are delighted to be able to offer a pair of tickets for a rather special gig: ‘Dan’s Birthday Bash’
On Saturday 12th April 2014 Dreadzone, Ferocious Dog, Goldblade, 3 Daft Monkeys, Super Fast Girlie Show and more will gather at The Black Market Venue, Worsop for a night of celebration.
Advance tickets are on sale now £27.50 – however if you have a ticket for the Bearded Theory Festival, you can get tickets for £25; but we are offering up a pair for free, though only if you can answer a fiendishly difficult question.
Q. ‘Little Britain’ was a huge hit for Dreadzone – but what was the name of the two actors who starred in the TV comedy of the same name?
