Win tickets for the Liverpool Threshold Festival…

The Threshold Festival, Liverpool takes place at various venues across the city over the weekend of the 8-10th March including Camp and Furnace, The Picket, Elevator Bar, Baltic Creative & The Albert Dock; the simple aim being to showcase some of the best grass-roots music and arts around.

Liverpool label Antipop Records (home to Super Fast Girlie Show, Bite Back etc) hosts a stage at The Picket on Friday 8th March and boasts an amazing line-up that includes folk punks The Roughneck Riot.

Influenced by traditional Folk music from around the world, The Roughneck Riot are reinventing and rewriting Folk music to make sense to our lives today…writing music for people, regardless of race, nationality, age, gender or sexuality. In a country with a government trying to destroy it, and a music industry run by money hungry people who couldn’t care less about musicians, The Roughneck Riot are here as a voice amongst many in the scene ready to be heard.

Support comes in the form of one the brightest upcoming UK bands Jeramiah Ferrari. They have played to sold out crowds at MEN Arena, City of Manchester Stadium and Koko London in their rise as one the ones to watch. Their music is a unique twist of roots reggae meets punk rock, ska and calypso.

Also on the bill are Bolshy, who are quickly becoming one of Liverpool’s best loved young bands and The Probes, also from Liverpool, who complete the line-up with a sound cut from the cloth of the Manchester Factory Records scene.
