One of writers, Adrian Bloxham, is helping to organise & promote a special event in Coventry this weekend, one to celebrate a much loved venue in the city, Silvers.

Remember Coventry in the late eighties and early nineties? If you were a punk, indie kid, industrial head, goth, thrasher or anything in between the betting is you frequented Silvers. In the centre of the city it catered for all the oddballs left out of the mainstream.

Two of the djs from the club and one of the dedicated customers have been running Silvers Reunion nights for the last couple of years. It’s a chance to dance to what you used to and to meet up with people you haven’t seen for years.

Adrian from Saturday nights and Cap from Thursdays play on September 1st at Taylor Johns House in Coventry.

I’d give you a tracklist, but it runs from My Bloody Valentine to the Wonderstuff, Public Enemy to Ministry, Mudhoney to the Stone Roses and everything in between.
