Noel Gallagher to write Man City Cup song

Noel Gallagher is in talks to write Manchester City’s FA Cup Final song

Apparently its true – Noel Gallagher, well known City fan has hinted that he’s going to write Manchester City’s FA Cup Final charity song. The former Oasis leader (currently with a bit of spare time) said that the Eastlands based club called him up recently to “bounce a few ideas” off him about a “Band Aid-style” tune.

Gallagher revealed this in a chat to a Daily Star reporter stating “If they asked seriously I don’t know. Let’s wait till they ask,”
Its still all very hush hush but the newspaper quoted a City ‘source’ who said having Gallagher involved in the song would make “a lot of sense”.

Other possibles allegedly include ex-Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr and former boxer Ricky Hatton are among the other well known Blues supporters thought to be in line to appear on the track.

City’s opponents in the May 15 Wembley Stadium showpiece Stoke City are also apparently in talks with Tom Jones to sing their own song!!
The Potters want the Welsh singer to revamp arguably his most famous track ‘Delilah’ which is a favourite among their fans.
A spokesman for the Potters commented: “The song is sung by supporters at every game, home and away, and in particular when we score a goal.” Other well known Stoke fans include Goldblade’s Pete GORGEOUS and Julian Clary – Now that would be an interesting duet!!
