Number one in our top 50 new bands for 2011 and with lots of record label interest Deadbeat Echoes are quite definitely on the up says John Robb

Deadbeat Echoes
With a collection of great demos, Deadbeat Echoes are further proof, if needed, that the North West is still capable of pulling out fab twisted guitar bands.
Based in Cheshire - the band who are all about seventeen - seem to have an endless stockpile of great songs. Rarely a day goes past when they don't seem to be sending another one to my email. I've got about ten songs from them now and they all sound fantastic. The band somehow manage to combine that love of rabble rousing lad pop of Oasis with the sharp and angular touch of the Artic Monkeys and that natural psychedelic twist that the greatest NW bands have - that trick of making reality sound strange, twisting the mundane into genius.
They also come with a punk rock nous. When I bumped into them in the street at In the City they talked about American punk overlords the Misfits and already do aÃÂ cover of a Sonics song. For their relative youth this band are thrillingly versed in rock n roll and understand all the fascinating nooks and crannies and are not trapped into a genre. They are more than just lad rock - they are taking the wrid and wonderful and translating it back into a language that the mass audience will understand. It's a great trick and another hallmark of great NW music - the trick of making high art for the people, taking the esoteric and putting it onto the terraces and into the council estates.
Deadbeat Echoes are living proof of the old great record collection maxim that applies to all the great northern bands.
For my money the Deadbeat Echoes are going to break out and be massive. There have been some really good interest from the right kind of labels.
They have got everything right from the tunes to the attitude to the innate genius and the work ethic.

Way cool! Some extremely valid points! I appreciate you penning this post and also the rest of the site is also really good.
I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
I regard something truly special in this web site.
Hello. splendid job. I did not anticipate this. This is a great story. Thanks!
