Intastella announce special Manchester gig to showcase groundbreaking new album

Intastella are performing a multimedia installation at boutique venue, Jimmys,  12 Newton St, Manchester M1 2AN –  Saturday, 24 Jun 2017.
The evening will be a heady blend of electronica, dub basslines, psychedelic rock guitar and blissful pop, replete with visual projections, narrative, spoken word, plus surprise cameo appearances from rock and roll luminaries.
Jimmys will be official launch venue of the the new single ‘video’ launch of  “The Rise and Fall of a Northern Dub Star” – from  the forthcoming album of the same name by Intastella.
The new album with a late summer release , is a reimagining of Stella Grundy’s hit play of the same name which toured Britain to critical acclaim and featured Smiths legend Mike Joyce and Jah Wobble of Public Image Ltd fame.
For this exciting new album, Stella Grundy recruited a highly eclectic cast of session musicians and performers including Nick McCabe (The Verve) , reggae legend Dillinger, John Robb with The Membranes, Simon Ding Archer  (The Fall, Pixies and PJ Harvey) , the bard of Salford John Cooper Clarke, Mike Joyce  {The  Smiths) Harry Shearer (Spinal Tap, The Simpsons) and producer writer Mike Bennett (The Fall, Specials, and Ian Brown) adding an additional twist to this exciting body of work.

Sensational news, USA remixes of Stella Grundy’s, Superstar2 remixed by in demand american producer Rick Cross are now standing at Number 21 in the Official UsS Charts.
Stella Grundy founded the Manchurian band “Intastella” in 1991-1998. Producing 3 critically acclaimed albums, two John Peel sessions, and had songs included on the sound track for the films: Love In Paris/9 ½ weeks part 2 -Universal Alcohol Years -Channel 4 Films.
Reformed line up of Intastella debuted at Cheshires, Blackthorn Music Festival in 2016, as well as performing at two other well established festivals, and completed a highly successful autumn mini tour of Hebden Bridge – Trades Club, Manchester – Fac 251, and London’s – Dublin Castle.
