Dom Robinson: Good love – Single review

Dom Robinson – Good love

DL

Self released

Out now

Leeds artist Dom Robinson has announced the arrival of his brand new single ‘Good Love’ which is the first of several releases planned throughout 2017 for this budding singer-songwriter.

The gorgeous arpeggio guitar is the immediate focal point of the beginnings of this song. It weaves and intertwines with the lyrics of Robinson’s breathless vocal delivery and bring weight to the track. Piano accompaniment adds to the drama and is reminiscent of the brilliant work by Gravenhurst.

The chorus bursts into life with the choiresque overdubs and they crescendo as the track progresses. The insistent beats and the repetition of the refrain “you don’t know what it feels like” is hypnotic and catchy as hell.

It’s a great single and a sign of promising things to come from Robinson.
